BFE 03:55
One man's pain, another man's pleasure. One man's trash someone else's treasure, all depends on where you've been and where you're from. Winding roads and city lights Amish people and suburbanites. What's real to you might not be real to some. Think about your core beliefs - might be worldwide food relief, may be slinging missiles 'cross the sea. But whatever you see is whatever you choose you got it all figured out walk a mile in my shoes cause what you call home is just someone else's BFE. Well the north has got the chilly breeze, the south's got hospitality, but I'm a stranger almost everywhere I stay. As far as listeners we're real good talkers in our opinions we're expert hawkers. No one listens to a single word I say. Think about the place that you call home might be a stately pleasure dome, maybe it's a trailer in the the trees. But whatever you see is whatever you choose you got it all figured out walk a mile in my shoes cause what you call home is just someone else's BFE. Take a look around you - that road leads out of town. Funny thing how you would laugh when I would cry, when up above it's all the same blue sky. Walk the streets after dark, packin a pistol in Central Park, the man on the farm can't believe that's what you do. Shovelin shit and pickin corn, wearin them jeans til the seat is worn, the man on the street's got a different point of view. Think about the place you lay your head, might be a king-sized feather bed, might be a box on Hwy 33. But whatever you see is whatever you choose, you got it all figured out walk a mile in my shoes, cuz what you call home is just someone else's BFE.

She can bring the rain she can heal the pain she can lift me on the wing she is everything She can shake the very ground she can silence every sound she can bow the sweetest string she is everything She opens like a flower she strikes with viper's power she can draw venom from the sting she is everything She brings life to seed she brings milk to feed she can crown me like a king she is everything

Empty House 04:05
Empty house lonely burning the cold wind brings no comfort no hope of you returning. I face the sea, miss all that's behind. The tide's indifferent ebb and flow pays me no damn never mind. Heaven hides beneath a leaden shroud and if you see me through the clouds won't you please give me a sign. I miss your face I miss your laughter. I hope I see you once again in the great great ever after. So curse the wind, and the sea ever churning. And this big blue globe spins all alone, forever ever turning.

Son of mine you have your dreams. Love of mine you have your wings. So fly closer to the sun. Gravity is only an illusion. Clarity will conquer the confusion. So fly closer to the sun. Gone away the season of the child. High away an ever reaching spiral. So fly closer to the sun.

San Andreas give us a break take the Golden State down in a great big quake. I take it back Cali don't mean you ill will, but all your California dreamin's just makin me ill. Bards and poets always singin your praises. They're turnin out the fads and the short lived crazes. Lubed up hyped up glitter machine. I've had just about enough of the California dream. Well I ain't sick yet but it won't be long if I choke down one more California song. A flower in your hair and a perma-tan dream. Permanent feed tube video stream. Fashion plate dictate all our aspirations. Blind kids following with no hesitation. Hollywood stars going carbon neutral. 37 cars, man that gig is fruitful. Gonna save the earth gonna tell us all. Gonna choke on your smog and your urban sprawl. Well they've been shovelin it to me for my whole life and they're the ones who really living but I know thats wrong well I ain't sick yet but it wont be long if I choke down one more California song. Misery 03:36
Misery why you gotta follow me? Just turn around and leave me be, and find another host. Misery I know you like some company, but when I look at who I used to be, you know I'm feeling like a ghost. If we could get back to where we were at the start I wouldn't have to carry round this heavy heart oh misery. Out to sea the harbor lights reach out to me, reflecting fingers glistening but I just cant steer it home. Misery I'm begging you to set me free cause looking back I'd never dreamed that I'd feel so damn alone. If we could get back to where we were at the start I wouldn't have to carry round this heavy heart, oh Misery.

In this life in this confusion there's talking heads with false conclusions to prove their views. But there's one thing that's irrefutable guaranteed and indisputably true for you and me too - that you and me are united indivisible and undivided. Well thank my heavens and bless my soul you and me babe are two parts of a whole and we'll be together forever and ever Well your eyes hit mine in love struck blue there's nothin ever taking me away from you so fill me full We're two parts of a whole. Well I ain't too good at arithmetic to penetrate a skull as thick as mine takes time. I used to hate math but now it's fun cause you sat me down and taught me one plus one is one. Cause we are an easy riddle. There's you and me and nothing in the middle. Well thank my heavens and bless my soul you and me babe are two parts of a whole and that's easy math I don;t need no fancy graph. You can split the atom and smash the stars, there's nothing you can do to ever pull us apart. We're two parts of a whole.

Black Socks 03:48
Black Sock's livin but it ain't always easy. Sometimes he feels the rain although it's sunny and breezy. He's keepin his chin up yeah he's tryin so hard. Tryin to play a loner with some trumped up cards yeah. You'd never know the battles left some real good scars no. Come on Black Socks don't be afraid cause we all love you since the day you were made and you gonna make ti through. Black Sock doesn't own a shirt with a logo. You won't catch him dead with Abercrombie or Polo. No slave to fashion to no corporate man fightin the power with basic black or tan yeah and sometimes when he ramble on I don't understand. Come on Black Sock it just ain't true that some bad apples messin round with me and you cause we are family and you will see that the sun's beatin down the street its reflectin off your feet and you knew all the while that black socks, too, will shine. Black Socks finished with his college tuition. Mad skills on piano gonna come to fruition yeah. Come on Black Socks let's hear you play cause that time you played Scriabin nearly blew me away and you gonna play that tune real soon. Come on Black Socks get ready to fly cause we're flying in formation cross the great big sky and I know that you can fly. Black Sock's comin!

Count the days you've been curled up in your room. All is grey winter's got you in her gloom. But don't you say you'll never see the sun cause I know summer's coming soon surrender February now the days belong to June shining sun will dash the moon cause I know summer's coming. Winter's claws reach through your windows in the night. Cold wind blows thank God she's holding you tonight. You can't recall the way the sunshine but felt but I know summer's coming soon. Hey you jealous January climb on back to your cocoon stretch your arms and smell the blooms cause I know summer's coming soon. When winter casts her frown across the sky you pray for summer's bold and brave reply. Then suddenly in a parting of the sky the sunbeams break, the flowers awake, and bid miss Winter goodbye. Count the days it won't be too long now. All is grey but I can hear the song now. I know summer's coming soon surrender February say hello to precious June Nothing's gonna stop this tune, cause I know summer's coming soon.

Take me to your leader cause I'd like a word. All the places that you're going are truly absurd. He's got you hypnotized and twisted, whispering words in your sleep. You're high and mighty and addicted, you're one gullible sheep. And the road you walk is gilded just for you. Cause your road to the heavenly throne, you think you got the key well cast the first stone your road to the heavenly throne you think you got the key well cast the first stone. Don't tell me what you're thinking I already know - you'd like to see me burning in the fires below. And I shall never enter your city of gold. But I will never drink your poison or fit into your mold. And the road you walk is gilded just for you. Cause your road to the heavenly throne, you think you got the key well cast the first stone your road to the heavenly throne you think you got the key well cast the first stone. All those sacred words he said you got them twisted in your head. All those truths that he revealed are not a weapon for you to wield. He gave you some good advice - so take that log out of your eye and come on down and love your brother. Cause your road to the heavenly throne, you think you got the key well cast the first stone your road to the heavenly throne you think you got the key well cast the first stone

Adirondacks 03:18
We decorate our humble nests with hammocks in which we'll never rest. We polish up with paint and spit our adirondacks we won't sit Oh how I long for something whole to purify and fill my soul so hold my hand and come and sit I have a feeling you are it. We say that man must love his bride - words by which we don't abide we raise our children by the book - the one we threw into the brook. Oh how I wish that we could be somewhere close to purity, but sometimes you make me believe that something good still lives in me. We go to church to seek the truth in polished shoes and fitted suits amidst the neighbors we neglect we'll speak the words we'll soon forget Oh how I long to feel the pull of something deep and beautiful. I think I know what it could be - the love of you inside of me. We're brought into this world to die, no wiser than when we arrived. Our fathers fathers fought the wars, we'll follow suit forever more. Oh how I wish I'd hear the call of something greater than us all. Until that day I'm glad to be holding you right next to me.
